Multi-rowed winter barley - fodder barley
The now well-established and extremely popular KWS TOLANIS is primarily grown in Austria’s humid and transitional regions, such as the Westbahn area, throughout all regions of Upper Austria, as well as in the intensive Styrian processing and market crop regions. Consistently ranking among the top performers in terms of yield, this new variety offers improved lodging resistance and very good tolerance to powdery mildew (APS 3) and net spots (APS 4). This allows the fungicide strategy to be fully focused on dwarf rust and Ramularia infections. KWS TOLANIS’s yield reliability is further supported by its low tendency toward ear breakage when overripe. The hectoliter yields for KWS TOLANIS are significantly higher and more stable than those of its predecessor variety, JOURNEY.
