CALZODUR

Winter durum wheat

Last winter, CALZODUR—a light-grained, sturdy variety—was registered as a new high-quality durum wheat variety with tremendous potential. This new variety heads very early (APS 3), matures early (APS 4), and shows a significant improvement in resistance to brown rust. This allows the focus of fungicide management for CALZODUR to be directed toward controlling Fusarium at flowering without compromise. The new variety also excels in terms of quality, with high values for protein content, hectoliter weight, falling number, vitreousness, and semolina yield. Starting in 2027, CALZODUR will become the second pillar alongside SAMBADUR in Probstdorf’s high-quality durum wheat portfolio.
