ZAMPANO

Milling wheat (BQG appr. 5) - bearded wheat

The “mass carrier” for the Pannonian dry region – this is how the new awned wheat could be described in short. This variety opens up a new league in terms of yield potential. ZAMPANO, rated A2 (equivalent to approximately BQG 5), shows an impressive milling wheat quality. In internal trials in Austria, Croatia, and Hungary, ZAMPANO performed at the high yield level of the benchmark variety Chevignon, but spikes 4 days earlier and also matures slightly earlier. The two varieties are identical in terms of quality. ZAMPANO is exceptionally stress and drought tolerant due to its above-average root system. Visually, this new breed impresses with beautiful dense stands and notably long ears. ZAMPANO is the top recommendation for targeted ethanol wheat cultivation in dry regions.
