ALHAMBRA

I - soybean

The new variety ALHAMBRA is a very late maturing soybean for Austria with maturity classification I (APS 9). The variety is now registered in Croatia and Hungary and is being developed by Probstdorfer Saatzucht for Austria, Hungary and Croatia. ALHAMBRA grows away relatively quickly and closes the crop pretty fast. Due to its growing type, ALHAMBRA can also be cultivated in row-widths of 50 to 75 cm. The stability is sufficient with regard to the massive, well-shaded single plants and is quite positive (APS 4). ALHAMBRA also shows decent tolerance to sclerotinia infections, a low tendency to grain loss and attractive protein values for a ripening-period group I variety. Its performance in the approval tests in Hungary and Croatia was excellent. ALHAMBRA stood out in particular under the extremely dry conditions in Hungary in the summer of 2024 and is superior to all relevant reference varieties in terms of yield over several years.
