BELCANTO

Winter triticale

This winter-hardy, high-quality triticale is a staple in Probstdorf’s triticale portfolio. It originates from the renowned breeding company DANKO and thus shares a similar gene pool with varieties such as KITARO and FREDRO which have long been major players in the market as well as the evergreen PRESTO. BELCANTO is extremely nitrogen-efficient (APS 7) and offers consistently stable yields. In addition to outstanding tolerance to snow mold, brown rust, yellow rust, and ear fusarium, BELCANTO also impresses with an exceptionally high hectoliter weight and the highest falling numbers. Not least because of its excellent leaf health, BELCANTO like SU LAURENTIUS is increasingly being offered for organic farming.
