CALIFORNIA

Milling wheat (BQG 4) - beardless wheat

The latest milling wheat variety in the Probstdorfer portfolio combines an enormous yield potential (APS 9) with favorable agronomic traits. CALIFORNIA matures mid-early, has above-average lodging resistance and is extremely resistant to sprouting during rainy ripening periods. CALIFORNIA exhibits a predominantly balanced tolerance level towards leaf and ear diseases. Notably, it has a very good rating for Septoria tritici (APS 4). In terms of baking quality, CALIFORNIA ranks among the group including Ernestus, SIEGFRIED and THALAMUS. However, for fertilization management, the late application for CALIFORNIA should be somewhat higher.
