CRITERIO

Premium wheat (BQG appr. 8) - bearded wheat

This new variety was registered in Austria in December 2024 as a premium wheat of the BQG 8 class. Thanks to its overall plant architecture, combined with excellent leaf health and above-average nitrogen efficiency, CRITERIO is ideally suited for domestic organic food wheat cultivation. Despite its taller stature (APS 7), it is significantly more stable than many established comparable varieties in the organic segment. Excellent rust and Fusarium tolerance ensure reliable yields and quality. Its high crude protein content and energy-rich doughs are the foundation for satisfied organic farmers and processors. For this year’s fall planting, the seed supply is still somewhat limited.
