AUGUSTA

Winter field bean

The winter form of field bean usually delivers more stable yield performance when compared to its summer form. This is due to the fact that the crop can make better use of the winter moisture and flowering is completed prior to the common heat waves of June. The medium-early breed AUGUSTA convinces with its pronounced yield performance, superior plant stability and decent tolerance of bean rust. In most cultivation regions, the ideal sowing time lies in the second half of October. A seed rate of 25 to 30 (max) seeds/m2 is recommended. AUGUSTA is available in both conventional and organic quality.
