SYMBIOS

Spring pea

The new RAGT breeding impressed in grain pea trials with excellent yield performance and above-average protein values. SYMBIOS is now being developed in all pea-growing regions of Central and Northern Europe. In the Probstdorf range, this new variety replaces the long-established KWS PARADISO, making it the perfect complement to the slightly earlier maturing TRENDY. SYMBIOS grows very quickly, starts flowering early, and despite its taller growth (APS 7), it has exceptional lodging resistance (APS 2). Its well-balanced resistance level against key pathogens such as powdery mildew, rust, Ascochyta and root diseases, as well as its above-average virus tolerance, highlights its future value for domestic grain pea growers.
