LG KERMIT

Milling wheat (BQG 4) - beardless wheat

Limagrain’s genetics are currently in the fast lane when it comes to milling wheat, and the latest product to emerge from this program is LG KERMIT. Like its sister varieties LG Optimist and RGT Reform, this new variety is registered in Germany as an A4 milling wheat, but offers significant advantages over both in terms of nitrogen efficiency and protein content. This stable, short-stalked compensation type matures mid-early and offers good resistance to all relevant leaf diseases (powdery mildew and yellow rust, APS approx. 2). In addition, LG KERMIT is highly tolerant to lodging and is therefore also perfectly suited as stubble wheat. Its above-average falling number stability ensures quality reliability under wet harvest conditions. LG KERMIT was tested in 2026 in all relevant field trials conducted by the Chambers of Agriculture; the results are scheduled to be published in the first week of August.
