THIMEA

Multi-rowed winter barley - fodder barley

The highly nitrogen-efficient new breed was registered in December 2023 after impressive performances in approval tests. With the highest rating of APS 9 for grain yield and excellent hectoliter values, the well-standing THIMEA is the ideal solution for the strong winter barley regions in Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Styria. An absolute unique feature of THIMEA is its excellent tolerance to snow mold infections. In the Probstdorfer variety portfolio, THIMEA will complement and eventually replace the proven CARIOCA. For the upcoming autumn planting, seeds of this promising new breed will be available for the first time.
