Quality wheat (BQG appr. 7) - bearded wheat
MAURIZIO is the first extremely early maturing quality wheat with very early head development and very high yield potential. For example, MAURIZIO is able to reach maturity 6-7 days earlier in comparison to Bernstein, while achieving the same level of grain yield. Furthermore, MAURIZIO is very stable and has outstanding yellow rust tolerance, which is on the same level as CAPO. The big-grained MAURIZIO combines medium protein contents with decent gluten values and appealing hectoliter weights. In Hungary and Slovakia (group 8), MAURIZIO is registered as quality wheat, while it is declared E-wheat in Germany. MAURIZIO should be sowed with a 10-15 % higher density than CAPO.
