KWS DONAU

Two-rowed winter malting barley

Agronomically perfectly adapted to local conditions, KWS DONAU exhibits a balanced level of resistance to relevant leaf diseases. As with all commercially relevant malting barley varieties, it shows increased susceptibility only to Ramularia infections. However, KWS DONAU offers a significant advantage in terms of yield potential, outperforming its predecessor, KWS Scala, by more than 5% over multiple years. KWS DONAU produces light-colored malts with favorable levels of beta-glucan, friability, and extract content. In terms of protein content, KWS DONAU is on par with Monroe and KWS Amaris.
