White lupin
The white flowering FRIEDA is a genuine protein miracle. The genetically fixed tolerance of Colletotrichum lupini is expected to once again help raise yield reliability in lupin cultivation. Our 2-year trials with different lupin varieties showed that a successful lupin cultivation can only be achieved with soil pH values below 7 (ideally below 6.5). FRIEDA is low on bitter substances and can be seen as a strong alternative to grain peas and could possibly be a future key asset in closing the protein gap. Moreover, the branching-type FRIEDA shows pronounced legume break stability and – due to its extensive taproot – can overcome dry periods during its maturation phase more easily.
