LG ZORICA

Multi-rowed winter barley - fodder barley

The new yellow dwarf-tolerant multi-row winter barley impresses with positive agronomic traits across the board, good grain quality, and excellent hectoliter weights comparable to the better two-row varieties (70 plus for the 2026 harvest). LG ZORICA is significantly shorter (APS approx. 3) than the multi-row comparison varieties, very early in heading and also early in maturity. Its tolerance to powdery mildew, net spots, and Rhynchosporium infections is above average; for Ramularia and dwarf rust infestations, LG ZORICA ranks in the middle of the range. It should be noted, however, that for the BYDV-resistant varieties, this resistance applies only to BYDV viruses transmitted by aphids, but not to the wheat dwarf virus (WDV), which is also dangerous to winter barley and is transmitted by leafhoppers.
