Multi-rowed winter barley - fodder barley

KWS’s latest product was registered by the Federal Office for Food Safety in the fall of 2025 following two excellent trial periods. Like SEVILLA, this new variety matures mid-early, has good lodging resistance, and shows no tendency toward neck breakage even when significantly overripe. KWS JORIS also excels in leaf health with an above-average level of resistance; its good tolerance to Ramularia infections is particularly noteworthy. Good grain grading and above-average hectoliter weights round out the positive overall picture of KWS JORIS. In terms of yield, this new multi-row variety ranks at the very top of the product lineup with an APS 9 rating across all growing regions.
