KWS KEITUM

Fodder wheat (BQG appr. 2) - beardless wheat

Germany’s highest-yielding hybrid variety has now also established itself in Austria and fits perfectly into Probstdorf’s feed and ethanol wheat portfolio. This is confirmed, among other things, by the independent field trial results available to date from the Chambers of Agriculture and AGRANA. KWS KEITUM combines medium-early heading with medium-late maturity (APS 6) and, due to its excellent Fusarium rating, is particularly well-suited for cultivation following grain corn in the breeding region. It also exhibits above-average tolerance to powdery mildew, brown rust, and yellow rust infections. Under intensive production conditions, the use of a growth regulator should definitely be planned. KWS KEITUM is currently also marketed as brewing wheat in Germany and could, of course, fill this niche in Austria as well. However, the “target audience” for KWS KEITUM is definitely processors in Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and southern Burgenland.
