ZITA

Two-rowed winter fodder barley

The large-grained two-rowed ZITA is one of the leading winter barley varieties in Austria. ZITA is very adaptable – it can be grown in Styria, on the foothills of the Alps or in the arid Eastern parts of Austria – ZITA convinces with stable yields and excellent disease tolerance. Moreover, ZITA is extremely steady and therefore highly suitable for intensive production conditions. However, ZITA can also be successfully grown under more extensive conditions in arid areas. Due to its uniquely healthy leaves, ZITA is also the first choice for organic farmers. Within the range of two-rowed varieties, ZITA is also one of the varieties with the highest protein content.
