The original Probstdorfer variety AVENIDA is an early-maturing (APS 8) 0-variety with its main cultivation focus in Southern Burgenland, Carinthia and in the more favorable regions of Styria. The purple flowering AVENIDA is sufficiently stable (APS 4) and has superior branching capabilities. Therefore, AVENIDA is suitable for cultivation in rows of 70-75 cm and is able to compensate bad spots within the population (animal damage, freezing) better than other varieties. AVENIDA also shines with very rapid development in its early stages (APS 7). In very soybean-intensive crop rotations, the good Sclerotinia tolerance (APS 3) can be considered decidedly beneficial. Furthermore, AVENIDA outperformed all rival 0-varieties in oil content by at least 0.1 to 0.9 % during its test phase. AVENIDA reached average protein content levels, with 0,4 % higher protein contents than the variety DH4173. AVENIDA is not sensitive to the agent Metribuzin, which can therefore be used in Ambrosia-ridden regions before soybean emergence.
