LUDWIG

Quality wheat (BQG 7) - beardless wheat

Due to its high stability, LUDWIG is suitable for medium and better soils in arid areas and for all locations in regions with higher precipitation. This single-head-type is able to achieve its highest yields with subpar population densities. The good baking quality requires at least 60 to 70 kg/ha nitrogen in the form of a late quality fertilization. In 2018 and 2019, LUDWIG showed higher tolerance of new brown rust varieties than its actual rating indicates. For some years now, LUDWIG has been used for plant silage production in Italy.
