MANDARIN

Premium wheat (BQG 8) - bearded wheat

The extremely early bearded wheat breed will play a leading role in the future of quality wheat production. MANDARIN shines with a variety of favourable quality and agronomic traits. MANDARIN reaches maturity a bit earlier than MAURIZIO, has decent stability and provides best tolerances towards mildew, brown rust, yellow rust and Fusarium head blight. When it comes to quality, MANDARIN impresses with high hectoliter weights and outstanding protein figures and – despite its very early maturity – its yield performance is on par with the most produced main quality wheat breeds. Due to its excellently healthy leaves, MANDARIN is an interesting option for extensively operating farmers (protection of water bodies, abstention of fungizide agents …) and organic farmers.
