KWS FLORANO

Hybrid rye

KWS variety KWS FLORANO is part of the “Pollen plus” hybrids. Usually, a population rye variety is mixed in to make sure that pollination has definitively taken place. Due to the high pollen spreading capacity of the hybrid KWS FLORANO, it is not necessary to use a population rye variety, consequently decreasing the risk of ergot infection. KWS FLORANO combines excellent stem rupture stability and shows decent snow mold tolerance. Furthermore, the hybrid’s high stability, constant and high yields over several years make KWS FLORANO one of the most popular rye varieties in Austria. Probstdorfer original seeds are available in the standard 1/3 ha pack with 800,000 grains.
